The Mountain São João Singular adventure is the jungle trip to the point of the Morro São João, the landmark of the region.The visiters leave from Fazenda São João always in groups and must be acompanied by someone with experience. One is recompenced with a wonderful view over the whole «Costa do Sol» (sun coast). Appropriate footwear and a good condition are essential, since the mountain is partially very steep and the way leads by close shrub and forest path. |

The farm São João The Farm São João was built at the foot of the mountain approximately 200 years ago, in the year 1784, . The Fazenda has 962 ha country, gross parts of it is overgrown with Atlantic rain forest and from the river restricted. The manorhouse was built in the portugis colonial style and was typical for a coffee plantation, with whose architecture and decoration. . . . Today, the Farm offers pretty bungalows to stay for holidays, riding, bathing and some more.Traditionally are the parties in July (festa de Junina) The region includes an enormous variation of flora and fauna. Many bird types, like parrots, Sabias, canaries armadillos foxes, sloth, monkeys, jaguar and reptiles.
