Trip with the comfortable bus:
By taxi or bus from the international airport to the
bus station «Rodoviária» (ca. 20 to 30 min), than by bus, with the company Autoviação 1001, to Barra de São João (ca. 3 h), with a break of 10 min. in Araruama. The bus stop in barra is «hospital de Barra». The busses are driving every 30 min. until 11 pm (23 h) and they don't need to be reserved in advance. The ticket shop (tickets to Araruama, Rio das Ostras, Macaé – via lagos) is inside the bus railway station.
There are also restaurants, shops, snack bars and a baggage room.
