Nova Friburgo

lie in the Serra Fluminense in approximately 850 meters of height and has approximately 180.000 inhabitants

Nova Friburgo was established in 1820, after king João VIth. Immigrants Swiss had allowed from Freiburg (Fribourg) in the year 1818 to immigrate to Brazil. The immigrants gave the city Friburgo the name São João Batista. After their foundation, the city grew through immigration from Germany, but also many other areas of the world. They developed into a prosperous agriculture center Thanks to the good climate, Nova Friburgo is still the rising tourism an agriculture center. In the surroundings, it is grown before all vegetables and cattle-raising, specifically the turkey breeding, is driven.
